From master to student, from idole to fan, Joachim Biehler's work, multidisciplinary artist with 1000 faces, questions quite at the same time the notions of transmission and filiation, put compared to his guardian faces. Joachim Biehler pickaxes with enjoyment in the corpus of the stars of the system of the art and most particularly in its iconic representations. He explores this profusion according to his attractions, identifications and more or less biting situations which he plans.
Danse and theater worlds have always took a central place in his work. After performances involving the body, he choses to take a distance from the physical, even if it still lays in its work. He collaborates with well-known and established artists ; with them, he develops a work where photography, performance, installation and video are in the service of parodies and interpretations, at the same time comic and critical.
The exhibition I'll be your mirror at the Mediathèque Forbach presents a selection of artworks, realized between 2012 and 2016.
