Joachim Biehler is a DNSEP graduate from the Haute Ecole d'Arts de Perpignan.
With his series of works on the codes of art and the social representations that result from them - the particular representations that become clichés, but also the figures of artists that we want to imitate - Joachim Biehler questions these norms with humor and derision, but also a real effectiveness.

Lightness, humor, derision, complicity, even fantasy, characterize Joachim Biehler's work, which focuses on questions that are nevertheless central. For, as it underlies common representations, the history of art has contributed to imposing models, born in the past and which continue to endure. It is time for art to thwart the models it has imposed in order to suggest others, freer and more open.
