Since the beginning of the 90s, media images, their repetition, their saturation, have been at the center of JungMin Choi's work. His first works also developed a reflection on the stylistic persistence in contemporary art, which will remain very present in his future works.
In 1999, he moved to France, and then began research in Plastic Arts at the Sorbonne Paris I, under the direction of Michel Sicard. This research led in January 2014 to the defense of a thesis under the title "historical meaning and aesthetic meaning in contemporary art.
Since 2002, Jung Min Choi is also a correspondent for the Korean press. Started in public transport during business trips, in small formats only adapted to this material context of production, the drawings of Great Days give a special dimension to his journalistic look ...
