Sabrina was born in 1986 in Thionville, She lives and works in Paris.
She’s graduated from the National Fine Arts Academy of Paris.
Sabrina Vitali explores through her
works the notion of relational esthetic, in which the observer, the artist and the production are
intimately involved. She chooses the sugar, this
foodstuff known by all, ephemeral in essence, to display her esthetic. As in a rite, the sugar pieces, first swept down on her, then draped, arouse the subjugation. The frails sugar bubbles crystallized make us hesitate between the Murano glass and soap bubbles.
The fragility, the delicacy and the transparency are an invitation to seduction, where observer and works are switched on. In her new pieces Sabrina uses plexiglass, other material miming the glass, to realize empty reliquaries. These boxes are neither closed, nor opened, but translucents and offer themselves to the spectator as new objects of desire and dreaming.
