Fernando Suarez Reguera (born 1966 in Oviedo, Spain. Lives and works in Madrid) has a singular obsession for movement and weightlessness, he is primarily interested in the human body and can delve into its psychic environment with the most varied formal solutions. He employs the representation of a robust and muscular figure, pushing it to its unanticipated limits, imbuing it with a sense of vitality and restlessness. This sculpture must convey the sense of conquering, leaping, climbing, running, engaging in combat, or maintaining a perpetual state of balance in an ongoing performance. Fernando Suarez demonstrates an exceptional mastery in sculpting to capture the essence of rhythm, gestures, and the precise moment to immortalize an image in time while exploring its dynamic potential. His creation stands for the concept of Moving.
Maguy Banq (born 1948 in Marseillan, France. Lives and works between France and Mexique) creations are deeply inspired by the french tradition of existentialism (atheistic paradigm) especially with the absurd cycle by Albert Camus. Maguy Banq's art not only explores the concept of toil and struggle but delves into the profound quest for absolute fulfillment, an ecstatic and serene plenitude that ultimately aims to lead humanity towards the elusive state of happiness. Through her work, she invites us to contemplate the human condition and the perpetual search for meaning in a world that often appears absurd and repetitive, much like the ceaseless task of Sisyphus pushing his boulder up the hill, therefore her artwork represents the concept of Thinking.
The language of Contemporary Art is more diverse than ever before, but Bronze as a medium never loses its momentum. Contemporary creations are the product of the moment, nevertheless bronze is a medium to communicate with the future audience, generations.
Bronzes negate cultural differences and cross borders as a universally acceptable medium that works as a common ground between artist and art lovers. Bronze, an exceptional and timeless medium of artistic expression, continues to inspire and captivate artists and art enthusiasts worldwide. Its rich historical significance, unique characteristics, and enduring importance in the world of art make it a cherished and irreplaceable medium for creative expression. As artists persist in exploring new horizons and pushing the boundaries of artistic innovation, bronze stands as an invaluable and enduring medium that embodies the artistic spirit's timeless essence.
GGB (Galerie Geraldine Banier) is excited to present a vision and the perception of the material from three different perspectives (artistic, generational, cultural and aesthetic). The show is composed of three parts: Think, Move, Sleep simple ordinaries that sculpted our daily life (Notre quotidien).

Galerie Geraldine Banier (GGB) is grateful to showcase Bronze's enduring relevance in contemporary figurative art that lies in its ability to convey human emotions, narratives, and the beauty of the human form. While modern technology has introduced new materials and techniques, the timeless quality of bronze continues to attract artists. The permanence and sturdiness of bronze sculptures ensure that these works of art can withstand the test of time, remaining relevant for generations to come.

Khaled Dawwa (born 1985 in Hama, Syrie. Lives and works in Paris), the permanent (timeless) quality of bronze has a symbolic meaning for Khaled, the bronze keeps a solid trace of his life and presents a frozen memory. He, who had moved between many places before settling in France, was unable to transfer his sculptures that were still in fragile clay, so he destroyed and lost most of them, and lost a part of his memory. The bronzes of Khaled, even if produced in edition, become unique at the end of the process, while he spends time at the Fonderie, to finalize each piece after being in bronze. Khaled views art as an instrument that can awaken us regarding the current situation, in its immediacy and its global chaos. He creates a posture of anticipation enveloped in a cocoon of profound slumber, crafting a reverie-laden sanctuary—a hushed realm befitting the solemnity of timeless sleep. His sculptures stand for the concept of Sleep.
